Bates had a tough loss to Bentley on Saturday ending the post-season. Bentley scored two tries in the first half leaving Bates behind 0-12.  Fortunately, early in the second half Kerry scored a try assisted by Kathleen and Kathleen was able to convert it leaving Bates only behind by 5. Although Bates got close numerous times they were not able to score again. Bentley scored two more times before the end of the game, leaving the final score at 7-24.

We would like to thank all of our donors and fans who helped cheer us on this season. Thanks again to Coachie for coaching us through another great season, we would not be the same without you.  We will certainly miss our 13 seniors who are graduating this year. Hopefully we will have a spring season so that this is not their last game with Bates.

Women of the Match: Guns and Kathleen

Saturday night was a tough loss for Bates, after previously having an undefeated season. This was the last in-season game for Bates. Bates started off strong with an early try from Lane Curran and a conversion from Kathleen giving Bates a 7-0 lead against Tufts.  However, Tufts scored two tries off of penalties leaving Bates down by 5 at the end of the first half. Tufts scored again early in the second half, which caused Bates to get fired up and Lane scored again.  Unfortunately, Bates was not able to score again before the end of the game leaving the final score 12-19.

The B-side team did really well with numerous tries in only 20 mins.

Bates made it to the playoffs and will be playing Bentley sometime during the weekend of October 22-24. We would love to have anyone in the area come and support us as we take on Bentley.
